The Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Beijing China was opened soon after Kenya became independent in December 1963. Since then, the Diplomatic relations between Kenya and the Peoples Republic of China has deepened and the friendship of the people of the two countries has grown in leaps and bounds. Over the years, PR China and Kenya have enjoyed a very cordial relationship.

The Peoples Republic of China has become an Economically Powerful Country and therefore very critical in the economic relations of any country. China is a key and valued development partner of Kenya.

One of the key mandates of the Embassy is to maintain and build on the excellent relations existing between Peoples Republic of China and Kenya with the aim of fostering even closer co-operation, as well as cementing the bonds of friendship between these two countries.

Other important areas of the Embassy’s operations include representing Kenya’s interests in Peoples Republic of China and providing answers and information to various enquiries about Kenya from Chinese, Kenyans and other foreign residents. The Embassy also provides consular services and issues visas to Chinese and other nationals resident in China who intend to visit Kenya.

We hope that, the inauguration of this website will mark another leap in the relations between Peoples Republic of China and Kenya.
